Is Washington D.C. easy to homeschool in?

According to the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), the District of Coumbia has high regulation meaning it is one of the more difficult states to homeschool in. Parents must file an annual notice of intent to homeschool with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), maintain a portfolio of their child’s work, and submit to an annual review. Additionally, D.C. requires parents to provide at least 180 days of instruction and to teach specific subjects, including language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, health, and physical education.
